Wood shaving bench by HOUR25

A solution created by Lai Wing Fung William, Choi Kit Wang, Chan Yiu Kwan Bill, So Tze Shun Jason, the four creatives from the Hong Kong based collective, HOUR25 PRODUCTION. An installation that is inspired by the classic shape of curled wood shavings, a bench born by recycling unused pieces of wood in a workshop on furniture design and their conversion into new high-quality materials ready to be processed and transformed. A structure that uses traditional techniques in combination with digital precision, modular seating coated internally with a green carpet that improves the structural strength in addition to give tactile and visual consistency, assembled by interlocking joints put at both ends, elements that share the cuts that segment the surface while softening the natural rigidity and allowing the characteristic spiral bending.
