People are fighting against violence and inequalities with different ways: social media and art. I really respect people who brings art out to streets. Alper Bicaklioglu is at his 5th exhibition “The Wall” at Mabeyn Gallery in Istanbul, he puts his works on canvas this time. He presents the social controversies and complex relations between consumption, marketing and the wars, putting social irregularities on his canvas. He shows how contemporary icons and images can turn into soldiers of socio-cultural imperialism by putting a gas mask on Mickey Mouse. In “The Wall” collection he used mix techniques. His alternative street based works focuses on “free” street art and artists.
