Braids are feminine, sexy and they are insanely in style. In the last couple of years we dusted our elementary school skills and learnt fishtail and French braid again from various DIY sites. Tied hair is part of many country’s traditions, in some form every culture use them. System and Form collection from Agnes Kovacs was inspired by the braids from the Carpathian regions, where the hair was only worn untied on festive days. They used 3, 6 or even 22 strands in a single braid. Using the age old techniques on a flat surface, like leather makes something special, it gives the object a new dimension. Agnes’ accessories are always elegant, well-built and unique. Forms are usually minimalistic with a little twist, that gives them a certain style.
