Simple Roots Furniture

I came across the imaginative furniture designs of Simple Roots furniture and thought I would share it with you. Simple Roots furniture is the brainchild of designer Jack Roots from Edinburgh, Scotland. Jack uses a variety of old and new techniques for the hand crafted pieces he creates and I think the craftsmanship really shows in the balance he strikes between clean, simple lines and an organic, playful feel. This playfulness can be found in the “secret” compartments he often includes in his pieces such as his dining room table and chair set. I also really like the blue marbles he incorporates into some of his pieces turning an already beautiful cabinet or table into something magical and the wonderful lifelike carvings of birds and climbing ivy he incorporates in his bed design.
