Self-Portrait chair

The project I propose today is “Self-Portrait”, the seat created by American designer Emily Aune. A piece of furniture that is inspired by the structures of the antique telephone chairs and the comfort of the chaise longue, features combined through a reinterpretation in essential key, with a contemporary design that fits a variety of functions, from support to relax while reading, to a comfortable desk to work with tablets and notebooks. A structure characterized by stiffness, facets and geometric elements, consisting of two parts, a lower one that sees thin and minimal lines in powder-coated steel to support an upper part, warm and welcoming, consisting of a deep seat in white maple wood with plans, support surfaces and edges in solid wood.
