Rockheads: the face of rock’n'roll

A project presented to us directly from its creator and curator, the French artist Marc-Antoine Herrmann, born from the union of two passions: rock music and graphics. “Rockheads: the face of rock’n'roll” is a continually expanding online gallery that currently counts about fifty portraits of musicians and singers, minimal artworks that through the representation of stylized silhouettes combined with a vibrant and powerful color palette, ranging from two to three colors, are able to capture the essence of the characters, to show the simple details and the smallest peculiarities that have characterized and made unique a gaze, a defect, a face or a way of wearing clothes and accessories. The selection that we propose is composed of: Michael Stipe, Pete Doherty, Paul Mc Cartney, Amy Winehouse, Madonna, Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, Lady Gaga, David Bowie, Depeche Mode and Sid Vicious.
