With a distance of about a year after the publication of the candle holder
Columns, for the usual Friday column dedicated to lighting design, today with Pulley lamp we talk again about a project created by the designers of the American studio
2nd Shift. A floor lamp that combines a minimal blackened steel structure with elegant parts made in birch wood, a fascinating combination that is able to create a unique solution. An essentiality of line and design that combines in itself a brilliant attention to detail, characteristics that results from the particular elements, such as the side cable reel inspired by the cleats used for tying boats during stops in ports, and the pulley system, that once actuated, allows to raise and lower the bulb allowing the variation of the intensity of the illumination and consequently its use, from ambient lamp to reading light.
