Today we show you POD, the prototype of portable dwelling created by the British artist and designer
William Darrell. A pop-up structure built according to geometric principles of the geodesic, which allow the optimization of the relationship between material and surface giving strength and stability. An essential solution composed of a skeleton left exposed, assembled with the use of tubular elements made of galvanized steel, and a curtain in waterproof waxed fabric, a comfortable cell which rises to a height of about four meters that appears to float over the ground, designed as a transportable housing module, easy to assemble and disassemble and at the same time safe and stable. For those interested in deepening the practical aspect of the project,
here you can find a short video illustrating the various stages of assembly.
