“If you’re going to San Francisco – You’re gonna meet some gentle people there – All across the nation such a strange vibration – People in motion – There’s a whole generation with a new explanation – People in motion people in motion”. Photographs by Mert Icgoren reminded me of the song “San Francisco” by Scott Mckenzie. In his photographs, you can easily feel the texture and pattern, his color combinations and warm color choices are remarkable. I especially love the pieces which include urban people and which portray different life styles. He also photographs different cities. Even though some of his works are provocative, they have something peaceful and ataractic, the impressionist style of his works can be the reason for that.
