The British brand
This Is The Uniform with its collections not only create pieces aimed at the sale, but examines the systems and rules of clothing, therefore studying the fashion system in its complexity. Each collection plays with stereotypes, perceptions in relation to the context and the anthropological and social power of clothes. The collection that we present to you, “No collar”, with its extremely minimalist shapes, is inspired by the codes and the garments of the Victorian era, as opposed to the stereotypes of today. Sheer fabrics like organza replace conventional jersey to show the Scottish woven cashmere undergarments which takes its inspiration from Victorian menswear. A game of overlapping and blending of natural and synthetic materials, for a variety of clothes that work well both worn separately or layered. Enjoy the pictures taken by Beth Alderson.
