Mariana Morgado spring/summer 2013

When I read the bio of the designer that I’m about to present, I almost thought that my English wasn’t good enough. But the dates, thy don’t lie. Mariana Morgado, from Portugal, was born in 1990, and graduated in Fashion Design in 2011. We are facing an “enfant prodige”: a designer who finished her studies only two years ago, is now presenting a mature collection, which reveals her increadible talent and vision. Kryptonee offers a minimalistic style, enriched and characterized by geometric patterns and graphic elements, highlighted by neon colors on a palette of whites and blacks. Linear and structured silhouettes, a mixture of traditional and unusual materials that reveal a taste for cleaning and rigor. The photos of the lookbook are made by photographer Matilde Travassos.
