Today we present a romantic and ethereal collection, hoping it will bode well for this cold spring that deosn’t seem willingly to arise.
Kaitlin McGrath is a newly graduate designer from Limerick School Of Art And Design and the spring/summer 2013 “Still Grew the Beat of Our Wings” is her first collection. Inspired by the Old Irish Tale of the Children of Lir who turned into swans, in her clothes Kaitlin is exploring the various stages of the metamorphosis, expressing the beauty of the swan and at the same time the feeling of entrapment within a foreign body. Flowing and draped shapes, ruffles and long-fringed fabric, blend with structured and tailored details, in a harmony of natural nouances, a collection that reveals all the talent and skills of this young designer.
