Harp chair

Harp chair

The project that I show you today sees the exploration of materials and traditional processing techniques as a focus to give life to a piece of furniture with contemporary design. Harp is the armchair created by British designer Simon Pengelly from the British studio PengellyDesign, and presented for the first time to the public in the spaces of DesignJunction during the London Design Festival 2013. A new aesthetic that comes from the rediscovery of the country chair par excellence, a solution with an inviting shape available with swivel or rocking base, which combines the distinctive design of the classic Windsor chair (turned, high and curved backrest) and a wide and deep sitting with generous padding softly molded to obtain a relaxing and comfortable chair that adapts to different environments and lifestyles.

Designer: Simon Pengelly
