Espiritu de la tierra jewelry

“De polvo y viento” is an independent brand founded by Costa Rican twin sisters Ana María and María Fernanda Gavilán. Their first collection “Espiritu de la tierra”, which includes accessories and a few pieces of clothing, takes inspiration from Goethe’s Faust, in particular the idea of reconciliation between human beings and nature. The focus throughout the collection focuses on the amazing jewelery, unique pieces made entirely by hand with silver and precious stones and moulded according to the shape of the fragments of animal bones, true core elements of their creations. The intent is to embrace the idea of death, turning it from negative to divine, memory of a once living creature, now in connection with the wearer.
