I love cooking as well eating, who does not like eating! Anyway, since I do spend some time in the kitchen, I like to have “cool” tools to work with, to keep me inspired. That said I present to you the work of
Marianna Milione, an Italian product designer, in collaboration with Xiaowei Yu: a kitchen scale working without any electronic components. The operation is very simple and is based on a system of balancing by means of a graduated scale, similar to that used in older steelyard balances. I also like the shape of the product, it kinda remind me of an egg or its shell, an inspiration coming from an ingredient often used for cooking.
