Axel lighting family

Decided to start the week with product design, presenting to you AXEL lighting family, created by Martyn Zabka, a young designer from Slovakia who studied furniture design at the Technical University in Zvolen. While looking at his works, mainly this one reminds me a lot the northen style from countries such as Sweeden or Norway. With his works he intents to emphasize the need to care about the environment, sustainability and wise handling of natural resources, therefore he used wood waste to create the lamps. All of them can be modified by changing the position of the lamp shade made with modified waste wood veneer and textile cord, while the material used to make the body of the lamp is beech wood. Simple multifunctional design and aesthetically pleasing, this is how design should be! The pictures you find in the gallery are from Simona Donovalova.
