This year’s
London Design Festival gave us surprises and new discoveries. A bit more time (or perhaps organization) allowed us to add a brief stop to our usual route,
Designersblock, which took place in the picturesque setting of the Southbank Centre, a stone’s throw from the quay of the River Thames, from the unmistakable profile that millions of tourists have come to love, that of the Houses of Parliament, of the Big Ben and the impressive London Eye. Among the many designers who were exhibiting, we were able to admire the works of
Elina Gleizer, a young Israeli who presented her Alter Self collection, originally a graduation project for the course of study in Jewelry Design. A line of jewelry and accessories made mainly in wood and silver, with inserts in leather, fabric and semi-precious stones, inspired by the human shapes and the anatomical curves.
