WOW Studio

Another stand that has particularly impressed us at Salone Satellite was that of the Spanish collective WOW. A group of six young architects and designers with different ideas and concepts, which share the same interests, and united by the same passion for design. Many incredible objects and pieces of furniture; it might be because of my personal passion for cardboard, but amongst the chairs in the space, “Th-chair” by Mónica Thurne surely deserves a mention. A minimal steel structure, extremely light, characterized by a seat composed of multiple sheets of corrugated cardboard, laid and stacked on one another. Another interesting object was the table lamp “Apil” conceived by the designer Ignacio Hornillos, an iconic pill shape composed of two sections with soft lines, alternating with a central element in cork.
