Today we surprise you with a double appointment with the Friday column dedicated to lighting design. Always remaining at
FuoriSalone in the Zona Tortona, this time in the huge building of Superstudio, we introduce “Crane Light”, the floor lamp created by British designer
Charlie Davidson. A tribute to one of the most famous and significant pieces of Italian design, the Arco lamp designed by the Castiglioni brothers and produced by Flos since 1962. An incredible light sculpture inspired by the “Terex Demag”, a giant tracked crane over 150 meters high. An iconic structure based on a detailed 1:50 scale model about two meters high, supporting a curious lampshade, composed of several glass tubes applied to a scale model of a lifting electromagnetic support, capable of generating effects that modulate the light in a different way.
