I have a confession to make – I am more than a little bit obsessed with nail polish. At the last count, my drawer of polish contained well over 100 bottles. Always on the look out for new, unique colors to add to my collection, I couldn’t resist Amanda Collier’s cleverly-named line of NerdLacquer polishes. As a self-professed sci-fi addict, and nail polish lover herself, Amanda started mixing her own custom colors and naming them after sci-fi cult classics like Star Wars, Firefly, and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Though sparkly nail polish isn’t always my thing, the color combinations are fresh, and I adore the geek-inspired names.
Keep an eye out for the next time Amanda opens up her
NerdLacquer shop on ETSY (the shop is currently “on vacation” while she is catching up with the demand, having sold 1500 bottles of polish in 18 hours in her last outing). The line comes in a full range of glittering shades. I love that you can go bold and daring with Hyperspace Bypass (a juicy yellow) or Don’t Panic (an electric green), or subtly chic with Nebula (a vampy red) or Carbon Allotrope (a shimmering white). I will definitely be adding a few of these to my nail polish collection soon.
