Libertine-Libertine is a brand founded in Copenhagen in 2009 by a team of three creatives, Rasmus Bak, Pernille Schwarz and Peter Munch Ovesen. The brand’s mission is “to stimulate creativity without restrictions”, and their means of expression are clothes, high quality and impeccable designed. The influence of the city of origin is found at first glance, the typical Nordic style, clean but with a twist, is evident. For fall/winter 2012-13 collection, Libertine-Libertine relies on a minimal woman, who prefers loose shapes and garments cut in two by a zip, often more decorative than functional. Between maxi sweaters and cardigans, we found pieces inspired by the male wardrobe, such as shirts and accessories, a hybrid between collar and tie. He dares with bright colors, with bold shapes, with the multi stripes of the jackets and leopard patterns (all over or in the details of the rolled-up pants, strictly chinos), a trend for man that I’m finding more and more often among Danish brands.
