In Italy being called “daddy’s girl” is definitely not a compliment, since it means something like spoiled. For the two Belgian designers Sarah and Carole “Filles a papa” has a totally different meaning, since it’s the name of their brand which they founded in 2009. After a period living in New York, they came up creating garments with a urban flavor, strongly influenced by the contamination of streestyle in the Big Apple, filtered by the Nordic style. The spring/summer 2012 shows us a girl (I would say a woman, but I believe that a girl makes a better idea) which is rock and bohemian, who is not afraid to mix styles, colors and materials. Wearing sequins in the daytime, declined on colored cardigans and skirts paired with over-worn sweaters. Daring with colors , with leggings, with leather. A impudently chic collection, perfect for those who love to play with their own style.
