A new edition of the Milan Design Week is about to begin, with the “Salone del Mobile”, now at its fifty-first edition, and all the fervent initiatives of “FuoriSalone”. One of the most awaited and unusual events hosted by iSaloni and Cosmit will be “Design Dance”, a dance, theater, circus arts and design performance, to be held for the whole duration of the Design Week (17-22 April) at the “teatro dell’Arte della Triennale”. An event that combines iconic works of contemporary design – from Up chair by Gaetano Pesce, to Superleggera chair by Gio Ponti, to Juicy Salif squeezer by Philippe Starck – to the movements of dancers and circus athletes. The magazine “Io Donna” has entered the backstage of “Design Dance”, creating an exclusive interview to the actors and performers, that will be published in the number coming out April 14. Thus speak the protagonists of the show: “An hour and a quarter of acrobatics and theater, to tell about the beauty of design, from concept to product. Seven actors, five acrobats, some sixty between makers, producers, set designers, camera operators. But the real protagonists are the objects. Many objects”.
