Angeline Lee spring/summer 2013

Angeline Lee is another of the emerging designers that I had the pleasure of discovering at White Milano, at the “Talents for White” hall, which housed some of the designers we introduced in these days, like Steven Tai, Francesco Ballestrazzi and Shengwei Wang. Angeline is a British shoe designer, graduated in fashion footwear at the Royal College of Art in London, but with classically trained as artist. Her background as a sculptor is more than evident in her creations, and as to confirm her involvement with that world, for the spring/summer 2013 collection, the inspiration comes exactly from a sculptor, Constantin Brancusi. Simple shapes embellished with spiral details, leather with metallic effect and raffia are the characteristics of the collection. My favorite? The raffia bicolor wedge with interlaced processing.
