Tufi Duek is a Brazilian brand that takes its name from the designer who created it. The brand is linked to the textile group AMC, owner of some of the most influential Brazilian brands. Currently the creative director is Eduardo Pombal, who studied at the Istituto Marangoni (there is a piece of Italy even here). We present the pics of the spring/summer 2012 campaign, very different from the lookbook’s mood, but of much greater impact. These shots show a woman who identifies with an urban warrior, thanks also to the important tribal style jewelry, chosen for the catwalk too. Geometric shaped garments, almost sculptural, which derive something from ethnic and something from the world of contemporary art (I dare a reference to Mondrian). The details of the necklines, both on front and back, draw sensual fabric cobwebs and create unexpected asymmetrical games of cuts and textures.
