Sometimes advertising has contents and strong images or messages that may disturb or at least arouse conflicting opinions in the eyes of those who benefit. It’s the case of the German advertising campaign designed by the agency Scholz & Friends to promote the well-known chain saw brand Stihl, made up of three illustrations, artistically well developed and enforced, characterized by warriors, mini fighters replacing the sharp teeth of the chain, ready to engage in a furious and bloody battle with no holds barred. What caused a sensation was notthe images as the slogan “Defeat the forest”, a phrase certainly of great impact, but that can approach people in a wrong way about the much-discussed environmental issues.
