Sunday, February 6. Two hours’ drive separates us from the furniture exhibition “Salone del Mobile di Parma”: why not? Maybe a little misled by the name, which reminds us so much the “Salone del Mobile” in Milan, we decided to participate.
We apologize for the quality of images: as frequently happens, inexplicably, most often at smaller events, cameras are not always welcome.
The first impact within the exhibition area was a bit unsettling: the main pavilion housed in the first part, a series of outdoor furniture companies and a shopping area, much more like a craft fair. Entering through the various stands, in the end, we felt not so disappointed. Lots of classic crafts, but also some interesting findings. Such as “Focus” fireplaces (not really a discovery, in fact) or the design of “Morelli” and “Aerre Italia”. Then the pillows “Play Space by REspace” stand where we have focused more, chatting with the people of the staff.
In short: more proposals for young married couples, with a dedicated department, than a design exhibition. Very different from the homonymous event in Milan, but not devoid of ideas.
