Second daily appointment, and the sixth with: the ten designers known during our
three days in London, whose works have fascinated us for elegance and creativity, generating curiosity with materials and innovative structures, or simply hit our immagination. Geometric shapes, quality materials, strong colors and contrast are the basis of the collection of tables created by British designer Paul Kelley. A project exhibited at 100%Design, which has surprised and amazed for the simplicity and the sculptural beauty. Three coffee tables “nested” inside each other, made of medium density fiberboard (MDF) with a polyurethane finish and individually lined with black felt, inspired by the series of paintings “Homage to the Square” by German painter Josef Albers, representations of simple squares overlapping and repeated, colored with different shades to create an optical illusion of depth.
