A typical hot Saturday afternoon in Rome. The desire to go out and walk brought me to Pigneto (a roman quarter). At a certain point, some drawings on the floor caught my attention. I find myself in front of Laszlo Biro (like the name of the inventor of the Biro pen, you should really read his curious biography!) that is not only an art gallery. It’s a match point, a lab, a space to express, mainly, the street art creativity. You can either visit it to see the exposed operas and talk with the guys that are in charge or pass for a happy hour when you can find some of the artists. Plus, for each artist exposed there are screen printings, t-shirts, shoppers and/or needle works. I bought a shopper with a print from the artist Yuri è HOPNN and I saw the works of # (Hash), that have the particularity of being reversible: they can be inverted and always form a complete figure. A sane exercise of creativity and interpretation. If you live in Rome or pass by for a million reasons, you can find them in via Macerata 77/79 (Pigneto). Otherwise follow them via
facebook,
twitter or on their
website.
