In American comedies set in ruthless high school, where you survive only if you are the captain of the football team or the stupid blonde and well-stacked cheerleader, there’s always the classic nerd with big eyeglasses held together by a giant strip of white tape (do Americans know glue?). This glasses patched in a botched way becomes the symbol of Gleeks, a line of frames that takes up the detail of the white tape, that becomes a particular repeated at every juncture of the glasses. In the print campaign created by Tomy Hoang, that comes before the launch of the website, nerds are replaced with models, anything but losers, but the concept is reiterated in business cards, “torn” and held together by a piece of tape.
