City in a Jar

All those who were teenagers in the ’90s can not help but love the pins, the mythical round printed pins. We already talked about the brilliant Playbutton, and today we present a project that involves them again. “City in a Jar” is the brainchild of the Workerman studio and the concept is to turn your city into a wearable work of art. “City in a Jar” is, in fact, a glass jar with vintage design, looking like those containig sweets or cookies, filled with 600 pins depicting typical places of a city: the stadium, the beautiful architecture, the most famous neighborhoods and historic or most popular places. A fun souvenir for tourists, that definitely will please even the residents! The first city to be “bottled” is Minneapolis, but soon others will be added to the list (New York might be next). If you want your city to be part of this project please contact the designers on their mail or via their Twitter profile.
