A project that, in addition to redesigning the cult item of every kitchen, was created to remedy to the weaknesses of all the kitchen timers on the market today, from the difficulty of reading and interpretation to the maximum time limit; in fact, the 55/60 minutes setting is too short, especially when dealing with more complex recipes, which take much more time. A concept devised by American designer Basheer Tome, characterized by a transparent acrylic rotating ring that, when the display and the countdown is turned on, lights in green, rising gradually to red, until the expiry of the time when it beeps and turns off. Not just a kitchen timer with an electronic heart, programmed through a custom Arduino hardware platform, but an accurate project in all its parts, from the clear and attractive design that follows the lines of the brand, to the packaging, which, almost in contrast with the modernity of the protected object, shows a style and a classic shape that reminds of the old wooden boxes used for storing wines. The designer hopes to create a new model soon, and put it among the projects of the site Kickstarter. If you want to stay updated, on the site “
