This project combines the elements that remind me of my childhood and adolescence, with what has become my current business partner. In the beginning, the satchel. The trauma of my first day of school, the endless lessons that accompany you for a good part of your life, and that you spend looking out the window waiting for the bell. Then, the cassette tapes. The afternoons strolling around with the music of the Walkman in my ears, rewinding the tape with a Bic pen to conserve the batteries. And finally, my laptop. The current companion of my days, working tool and connection with my virtual world. All this in a simple object, as nostalgic as vanguard, as modern as retro. Cassatchel combines the functionality of the satchel with the strength of a laptop case and the touch of fashion and streetstyle of the cassette shape. An object that I hope will be soon available, because it ends up right in my ideal whishlist. The prototype was created entirely by hand from New Zealand based industrial designer Bhavesh Bhuthadia.
