Plastic fantastic

Every summer is full of plastic accessories: flip.flops, sandals, bags…
But now the plastic-mania infected the most famous designers.
In the beginning were the colorful ballerinas by brasilian brand Melissa that conquered even the lady of punk, Miss Vivienne Westwood that started an historical collaboration.
This year was Prada, that in spring-summer 2010 collection introduced several transparent pvc accessories that suddenly become beloved by bloggers and trendsetters: his plastic shoes, in chandelier version too, were seen at the feet of Anna dello Russo, Sea of Shoes, Carolinesmode and The Blonde Salad just to name a few.
The next will be Kartell, historically bounded to design, that lounched for spring-summer 2011 collection, in collaboration with Moschino, a new line of plastic ballerinas named Bow Wow, available from January 2011. This new partnrship follows the one with Normaluisa that produced, amongst the others, the famous “Glue Cindarella”.
From feet to wrists, we cannot forget among the plastic objects, the watches Too Late and the 80′s revival of the new Hip Hop.
